This community competent anti-tobacco campaign features members of the LGBT community who have declared cigarettes as their greatest enemy. They were devloped by Better World Advertising and adapted by ADEPT Partner CLASH in a statewide anti-tobacco campaign.

How the Tobacco Industry Exploits the LGBT Community
A pamphlet for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and HIV Positive people. The pamphlet provides information on how the tobacco industry exploits the LGBT community and suggests ways to fight this exploitation. Additional resources are also provided for anyone who may be looking for help with quiting tobacco.

Tobacco Industry Targeting of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community: A White Paper
This report summarizes findings from a four-year project begun in 2001 to study the relationships between the tobacco industry and the lesbian and gay community. The report discusses tobacco industry targeting and sponsorship, as well low prioritization of tobacco control as a “gay issue” by LGBT leaders.
