2021-2022 SPARC Leadership Program
The 2021-2022 SPARC Leadership Program is a 9-month program focused on building a vibrant movement in tobacco control and health advocacy in Asian American (AA) and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) communities. This unique leadership program will convene people from across California to discuss and learn about critical health-related tobacco issues facing AAs & NHPIs. Fellows will develop the knowledge, skills, and capacity needed to advocate and implement policy change. You do not need to identify as AA & NHPI to participate.
This program will commence with a 2-day Core Leadership Summit, including the SPARC CommuniTea Forum, via Zoom on June 23-24, 2021. Key activities throughout the year will include bi-monthly skill-based and informational webinars and quarterly gatherings with coaches. The program will conclude with a Capstone Summit in February 2022.
