2021-2022 SPARC Leadership Program
The 2021-2022 SPARC Leadership Program is a 9-month program focused on building a vibrant movement in tobacco control and health advocacy in Asian American (AA) and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NH/PI) communities. This unique leadership program will convene people from across California to discuss and learn about critical health-related tobacco issues facing AAs & NH/PIs. Fellows will develop the knowledge, skills, and capacity needed to advocate and implement policy change. You do not need to identify as AA & NH/PI to participate.
This program will commence with a 2-day Core Leadership Summit, including the SPARC CommuniTea Forum, via Zoom on June 23-24, 2021. Key activities throughout the year will include bi-monthly skill-based and informational webinars and quarterly gatherings with coaches. The program will conclude with a Capstone Summit in February 2022.
